Maremma & Val d’Orcia
The Maremma is the wildest part of the Tuscan countryside along the sea from the province of Pisa in Grosseto and extending inland south east.
Rich in natural protected areas, but also in history, it finds its main characteristics and traditions in horse herders: the “Butteri”, they took care of the horses and in the past were the only ones who populated these wild and sometimes marshy lands.
Maremma Tuscany between the countryside and the sea is the ideal place for nature lovers.
