Description
Villa Asana is perched on a hilltop 20 minutes by car from the centre of Florence.
This panoramic location, was a favourite retreat for yoga, this is why it is called Asana.
The same property, fully renovated in 2011, was once the main bakery for the area, as well as a farmhouse. Today the oven is still working for pizza, the farm has still its henhouse, olive groves and vineyards to make wine.
There are two structures: Villa and Country House.
The Villa can house up to 8 guests and the modernised Fienile can host 4 people.
Chill out by the salt water infinity pool and the jacuzzi taking in the spectacular panorama or enjoy a sunset BBQ in the cabana which is outfitted with cream-coloured sofas 14-place table and kitchen.FamousCarraramarble sculptures surround a heart-shaped pond with lilies and lotus flowers.
The luxury living of the Villa is mixed in with a touch of real rural life; you can enjoy organic produce (courgettes, artichokes, tomatoes and herbs etc) from the kitchen garden, as well as jam from the fig and pear trees, wine from the vineyards and olive oil from the groves.
Villa Asana can also host any kind of event, from weddings to outdoor screenings, because every area has its suitability. For example, a romantic event around the Feng Shui heart-shaped pond or cocktails watching the sunset from the peaceful lawns.

Map and how to get there
Just 20 minutes fromFlorence, Villa Asana offers hospitality in the wine region of Chianti.
Here, away from the sounds of the city amongst medieval hilltop villages vineyards and olive groves, you will find tranquillity and relaxation while your imagination drifts to an ancientTuscany when those villages such as San Gimignano, Radda in Chianti, Panzano in Chianti were built.
Chianti is famous for its wine and the best way to taste it is by visiting cellars with a good group of friends under the Tuscan sky while listening about the way of producing that particular kind of wine. You may ask for Guido Sommelier (www.guidos-tours.it) who is a trusted guide/driver and he will be pleased to organize for you a tour of the cellars.
Otherwise you can also drive there with your own car but farms and cellars allow guests to sample their produce, buy their wine, oil and local products; so make room in your car if you’d like to take some yummy things away with you.
If you are a lover of the countryside and beautiful landscape, you can walk down small roads leading through cypress-lined avenues and rolling hills on your way to Greve, Radda, Gaiole, Panzano, Castellina, Montefioralle, Volpaia, the abbey of Passignano or you can go mountain biking through these fascinating medieval villages.
If, on the other hand, you want to take a break from tranquillity and approach a more cultural side and try out the nightlife, it will be a pleasure to visitFlorencethe heart of Renaissance, with its museums cathedral, art galleries, bars restaurants and excellent shopping areas.
Florence is not the only fabulous Tuscan city that is close by; Siena with its wonderful “Piazza del Campo” and the major event: “Palio di Siena”, San Gimignano with its medieval Towers, Pisa with its “leaning Tower”, Impruneta where terracotta originated, Montelupo famous for its ceramics, Lucca, Volterra, Montepulciano, Pienza, are all easily reachable.
Villa Asana is the perfect base from which to discover the whole Tuscany travelling at the most an hour.
